Join Rabbi Mark and Harriet Rossetto on Monday, August 24th at 4:30 PM, as they discuss how to make these High Holy Days different from any previous experiences. There will be a light dinner oneg after the presentation.
- Explore the Jewish Calendar and the wisdom of the High Holy Days. Discover what parts of our inner and outer lives they engage.
- Learn about Rosh HaShanah being the “day of humanity’s creation” and the importance of the 7th month of the Jewish Calendar.
- Find different ways to immerse ourselves in the prayers, music, communal experience, and uncover our individual and communal responsibities for what is happening in the outer world. How do our actions reflect who we are, more than our words?
- Learn of the power of Return, Vidui (confession) and the joy of being free of our inner demons (for a few seconds anyway.)
- Explore the role of Blessings in Judaism as a way of expressing and immersing ourselves in gratitude, revealing how it serves to overcome the negativity inside and outside of us.
- How can we regard each event as a blessing, even those not deemed as “good?”
We look forward to this inspiring and informative presentation and hope you plan to join us!
